We saw the Hydro plant which even had a warmed car park so it as snow free. Then we went through fertile farming land with greenhouses growing salad vegetables. En route we saw lots of the Icelandic horses which are unique in that they have an unusual gait. We visited the spectacular Gulfoss waterfall - freezing walk to viewing point. Then 10 mins back in same direction we visited the Geysers which spouted very high about every 5 mins, complete with a strong smell of sulphur. Then onwards to Thingvellir national park and took a walk up to view the tectronic plates of Eurasia and America. Tea consisted of 10 to 11 shop which cost £28!
